Van Allen students are motivated to read using the Accelerated Reader program (AR). By reading books within their independent reading level they earn points by taking AR quizzes on their Chromebooks during school hours. These points accumulate throughout the school year and students earn incentives and awards simply by participating and practicing their reading.
